The english language lacks an adverb with enough gravity and grandeur to describe how excited I am right now!

A few years ago, at the same time I started in this field, I also began the process of getting my teaching credentials in high school mathematics. I was only working part time as an editor and shooter for another company and wasn’t sure if it would turn into a career. I’ve always loved teaching, so I decided to pursue both simultaneously. Of course, as is obvious by the fact that this blog exists, this has turned into a career! But, I didn’t want to quit what I’d started (as noble as that sounds, the amount of money I had sunk into the tests and pre-reqs definitely played a role in my decision. So, don’t give me too much credit). So, since the fall of this last year, I have been doing triple duty as a co-owner, student, and ninth grade geometry teacher. Let me stop you again before you give me credit though, because it is all owed to my amazing wife. She took the reins of the business and has been running almost every facet of it alone this last year. I am an unbelievably blessed and lucky man. She is the best. ever.

So why am I so excited? BECAUSE I JUST SUBMITTED MY FINAL PAPER! I’ve been a student in some facet my whole life. But as of twenty minutes ago, that phase of my life is… over. I’m done.

So now, I get to move back into this company full time, and that has me even more excited! The last few weeks Mariah and I have been shooting ideas of each other like crazy! And now we can pursue them together! Keep your eyes and ears posted

AND AND AND!!!! To top it all off, last night I put the final touches on this AMAZING highlight film that Mariah edited a few weeks ago. Jacob and Kristen were such a fun couple to work with. They were full of laughs and they’re love for each other was so apparent throughout the day. I could go on and on, but I’ll let the film pick it up from here!

So sit back, and enjoy!

Hello dearest friends!

It is with more pleasure and excitement than can be contained that we present to you the proposal video of our dear friends, Chase and Aaron. Chase and I have been in a women’s group together for the last year so this proposal is very near and dear to my heart, especially because I have been hearing about Chase’s anticipation of it every week for the past few months I would also like to note that I kept it a secret successfully for at least 2 of those weeks, which, if you know anything about me, is a HUGE accomplishment.
It is with a great deal of joy and honor that we were able to put this together for such special people. In the words of Chase, Huzzaaaaaahhhhhh!!

Love Abundant,

Hello Everyone!

This is it! With the wonderful Paul & Dai, we bring you the last film of our 2011 season! I can’t believe we launched our company in the middle of the season, yet were still so blessed to shoot as many weddings as we did. It was a really fun year and we are so excited to start the 2012 season. And oh look, it starts this Friday, with a Same Day Premiere! Now that’s timing.

Anyways, what’s a better way to start your weekend than with a highlight film! I love the song Paul & Dai picked for this. It made putting together their film really enjoyable. Also, their portrait session! Everything about them screams “love” in those shots. But enough talking, enjoy!

Hello Dear Friends!
It is with great pleasure that I present to you our first post of the year! I hope this finds you recovered from all off the holiday goings-on. Dave and I didn’t even get out of our PJs until about 5pm today. Yay for vacation!
Last night (NYE) we had the privilege of shooting the wedding of Brooke & Travis. The day was full of tender moments and it was beautiful to be a part of. Dave pulled off an amazing Same Day Edit (which you are about to see) that we got to show right after the ball dropped. A wonderful way to start the year, if I do say so myself. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room… I’m sure you will experience some mistiness yourself.

So grab your box of tissues and enjoy

Happy 2012!

Happy Holidays!

Hope everyone’s holiday shopping is going well! Not to brag or anything, but not only am I done shopping, Mariah and I have already celebrated our first Christmas! We’re gonna be traveling the rest of the week, so we decided to have our own “Christmas morning” this evening. I made BANK! I got some Legos, a Lightning McQueen iPad game, and some puzzles. I know what you’re thinking, but no, I did not mix up my list with a five year old’s. I am five. Ok fine, I got grown up things too, but come on, kids don’t brag about the socks they got from their great uncle Al, now do they? As for Mariah, her capstone gift was quite the surprise (her mom even correctly predicted tears). Our landlord doesn’t allow pets at our house, so Mariah’s cat has had to live far, far away. But, after some strong arming at the rental office… Charlotte McQueen is coming home! That’s right, our first pet!

Anyways, this evening we are premiering our first wedding highlight film done in our new editing style. We are always trying to better ourselves as artists, and we are extremely excited to grow and discover our strengths. One of those growth areas has been pursuing the warm and beautiful look of a true cinematic film. So, we’ve tweaked our coloring, changed our aspect ration and voila! Now we present to you the fantastic and wonderful David and Nicole Palomino! Enjoy!

Hi Friendlies!
I hope this finds you well and enjoying the holidays. This is a little film I did for my Grandmother Dolores for her 80th surprise birthday party. I just premiered it at our family Christmas party and now I’m sharing it with you! It was really fun to put together and even more heartwarming to see how it was received. I was expecting waterworks from my mom and aunts (which I definitely got) but even the men of the family got a little teary eyed. SUCCESS!!!

Wishing you joy in this holiday season.

Happy Wednesday before Thanksgiving!
So many advancements in the Amari Productions world!! I (Mariah) recently got to quit my part time job at See’s Candies and am now editing/shooting FULL TIME!! Not quite sure how to convey the excitement… Now I know what you’re thinking… “But what about ALL that CHOCOLATE?!”… Just trust me people, if you had to wear that God forsaken white dress with pantyhose everyday, you’d leave too. We are also in the process of exploring new editing techniques and we tested them out on a little film we made for our church (see below). We’re going for a more authentic film feel. Let us know what you think! Oh, AND! We’re officially Twitter official We celebrated by having a launch party with some Jedi Masters of the wedding vendor world, Rico & Rachel of Studio Castillero. So, follow us @amariproduction for all things awesome

[Update 4: After upsetting Edison in the first round of the playoffs, Tesoro played host to Servite last week. Not only was Servite the number one seed, they were back to back champions, and nationally ranked. Down 20-3, Tesoro came out in the second half and... well, just watch. You'll see]

[Update 3: Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Tesoro vs. Edison is up! We broke the pattern and went with true cinematic widescreen, and also swapped out the ESPN background music for an actual movie score. Why? Because it's the playoffs! Enjoy!]

[Update 2: Another week, another film. Tesoro vs. Dana Hills now has top billing, with the other games below the fold. Enjoy!]

[Update: We've added the most recent game (vs. Trabuco Hills). It is now the first film listed below. For those of you viewing this on our blog's main page, the other games' films can be seen by clicking "read the rest of this entry". Thanks again for stopping by. Enjoy!]

No, it’s nothing crazy. We haven’t decided to change our company’s direction to Venture Capitalism with a focus in Amish Start-ups. We’ve merely decided to expand our blog offerings.

For some time, Mariah and I have been discussing whether or not this blog should be strictly wedding films. While weddings are the majority of our work, they are not the full extent of our repertoire. From corporate training videos to commercials, we’ve seen it all. So, we’ve decided to start featuring some of our other work. And we’ll start… How about right now? I know, it’s a lot to heap on to you so quickly. I’m sorry. Do you need some space to think about things? I understand. Meet me at the next paragraph when you feel better.

Okay, ready? Great. So today we bring you football highlights from my Alma Mater, Tesoro High School. Why are we suddenly delving into sports highlights? Well, it is my little brother’s senior season at Tesoro, and I thought that rather than just attending the games, why not film them? So, I did. I wasn’t sure how it’d turn out, seeing as I’d never shot live sports before (and they tend to move a little faster than say… a bride coming down the aisle). But, happy with the results, I decided to surprise the kids with a short film. It seems the high schoolers enjoy watching slow motion highlights of themselves set to an ESPN sound track… Who would have known? So, it’s become an (almost) weekly event. You can find the most recent video below, along with two more below the fold (click “read the rest of this entry” to find them). Enjoy!

Oh hello there! Sorry, we were just preparing some tea and biscuits and didn’t hear the door. But please, do come in!

It’s such an honor to have our work featured and we are even more thankful that you would click through and visit our site. We truly hope you enjoy your stay (we even vacuumed and dusted, just for you!). As for us, we’ve worked with several fantastic Wedding Videographers in our time. But, this year we decided to venture out on our own. It’s been a fantastic one, and we’ve been blessed to be a part of some amazing weddings. Even still, if you would have told us we’d get featured in our first year, we would have called you a liar, to your face. Luckily you didn’t tell us that, and we did not call you a liar (that would have been awkwarddddd). But, we digress.

If you’d like to know more about us, or just hang out over coffee, give us a shout! Oh! And if you’re getting married, definitely get in touch with us!

Thanks again for stopping by!

Dave & Mariah

P.S. For our normal viewers, curious as to what this is about: see that cool new badge under “features” on the right hand column? Click it! And enjoy a fantastic wedding blog!

Well Hi there friendlies!!
Today we bring you a little ditty that was a completely new experience for Dave and I: a SAVE THE DATE! It was an absolute blast to film and the couple was so fun to work with, which is great because we’ll be shooting their wedding in May! Breanne had presented us with the idea and a story line and we were ALL for it. We love their playful style and sense of humor! So sit back, relax and enjoy this fun little flick
